Nissan Maxima fuel pump

I have a 2008 Nissan Maxima with approx. 160,000 miles.  The car has always served me well until last 2 weeks.  I bought it used around 10 years ago.  The first thing I did was change over to full synthetic oil.  Like you, I keep my cars for a long time.  First of all, was that a good thing or a bad thing?  My car started having issues when I start it in the morning.  The car has always turned over for 4 or 5 seconds then start.  Lately, I started turning the ignition and listen for the pressure to build up then start the car.  I checked on line and that is a sign of the fuel pump starting to go bad so I bought one.  Not only does it still take a long time to start, but the situation has gotten worse.  I did not go to the dealer and buy an OEM.  I will buy another one but before I do, what else could cause this?  I am worried that one or more of the injectors are letting the fuel into the cylinder which means the car is flooded.  In the past 2 weeks, I have ruined the battery from constantly cranking it.  What else can cause the fuel pressure to drain down?  I really enjoy your show!  It is nice to see someone in the real world explaining car repair instead of telling us to buy all the parts new!

Fuel filter?  Bad spray pattern from the injectors.  Fuel pressure regulator?

I actually bought a second fuel pump and then the car started like it was supposed too!
