I’ve got a 2017 ford fusion with the 1.5 eco boost with automatic transmission 89.000 miles on it. It’s got no heat in the car. I started by checking the coolant level and it’s all good so I checked the heater valve and it seems to be working fine so I back flushed the heater core to make sure it wasn’t plugged up. I noticed that the inlet hose for the heater core has coolant coming out when everything is cool or cold but once it warms up no coolant is coming out and the temperature gauge stays about halfway never overheats. Do you think it could be a bad thermostat? Thank for your channel and I watch all the time.
If both heater core hoses are hot there is coolant flowing through it. If neither is hot then you have a blockage somewhere preventing coolant from flowing.
If the heater core has hot coolant flowing but the there's no heat then your blend door may be malfunctioning, not letting any of the hot air into the cabin.
