Oil Consumption 2010 Camry SE 2.5L. 125k mileage.
I use 10w-40 oil. If I drive faster than 100km/h, Engine reduces oil, but under 100km/h it doesn't reduce oil. Does it mean that engine has a problem, or should I change my oil to thinner oil? Car's mileage is 125miles. Thank you!! hope to hearing from you soon!!!
Why are you using 10W40 in that. The heavy oil probably isn't properly lubricating the variable valve timing system.
That particular 2.5 l engine just had problems burning oil there's nothing you can do other than rebuild the engine but they can still run for years as long as you keep oil in them
The 2.4 and 2.5 engines in the Camry tend to use excessive oil.
Use the engine oil viscosity Toyota recommends - do not change. See at 6:45 below:

Yes. As Scotty says, use the oil viscosity the manufacturer recommends. And, stick to one brand, because of differences in additive packages. You can reduce oil consumption via more frequent oil changes.
