Overheating mazda cx9

2013 Mazda cx9 85800 miles.  Overheated and shut off.  Changed thermostat and cylinder head sensor.  Crazy job.  After a while I realized the fans are not turning on. Neither when ac is on or when temp gauge goes up 3/4 the way up.  Checked relays and changed Fan control module.  Craziest thing is that if I tap on the modules or the fans shroud, the fans will jump and turn at low speeds? When I stop tapping the fan turn back off.  Had codes for cylinder head temp sensor but they've been erased and I haven't let it overheat to that point again.  Still.the fans aren't coming on.  Lastly I tapped a radiator hose and it broke off and leaked fluid everywhere.  That was tonight 9/21.  The male nob that the hose connected to looked like it had been repaired once.  Could this have been causing the fans to not come on? Like  maybe the system wasn't ceiled or pressurized correctly? Or could.it.have caused a clog? Can I glue (weld) the nob back together and hook the goes back to it? I have a innova 5610 carscan tool but really having trouble figuring out how to check the cooling system with it.  Active test doesn't seem to be available first my car.  Big waste of $411. I guess.  But I have it if you think I can use it.  Another thing the radiator cap connection was cracked.  I replaced.it as well.  All together into it for $700 and many many hours (weeks) trying to learn how to fix it.  When we drive the car its fine.  And if it heat to high at a stop light, it cools down as soon as we.start driving again.  To be clear we.aren't driving it now that the broken hose connection was found.  Any ideas? Or for sure things to check.  Thanks from Florida. Look forward to a response.

Replace the fans and make sure you do not loose coolant.
