2009 Kia Rio crank but no start

My Grandmother has a 2009 Kia Rio. It will Crank but not start. It is getting fuel. I have changed the crank position sensor and all four spark plugs. I don't think that it's getting a spark. The battery is weak, so I jumped it. It cranks hard and still will not start. I am getting P0626 with my scanner. Any Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

A quick and dirty test for spark is to spray some starting fluid into the intake and crank the engine. If you have spark the engine will briefly fire up.

Here is info on P0626, it is related to your alternator or the wiring and circuitry monitoring it:

thank you, will do

The alternator might be the issue. Load test the alternator.

thanks, will do

Is there a way to load test the alternator on the vehicle when it won't start?

No, you need to be able to start the car first.

that's part of the problem. the car won't start

Follow the advice from @Chuck Tobias. You may also check this video:

Thanks, that video is where I got the idea to change the crank sensor.

Some parts stores are able to test an alternator out of the car if you take it to them. If you have an auto electrical shop in your area they should certainly be able to.

try jumping it again, but this time unhook the alternator.

I'll try it, I'll post what happens

Late update, but here's my results. I tried jumping the car, without the alternator connected, no start. after that, decided to junk the car.
