I put a passcode on a holden apollo aka a toyota camry 1995. we haven't had radio since.
I tried pass code but got locked out. We did take it to holden/toyota and they just didn't help (too busy or something).
I have try solutions but no help. would like a radio back.
Try resetting the radio by disconnect the negative battery cable and leave it for 30 min. Then connect again.
is there a video showing this? just take the neg off the battery. any relation to the radio?
For older cars, it will reset the computer as well as other electronics (like your radio).
do I need some memory holder to preserve the driving info? on the ecu?
If all else fails, instal an aftermarket stereo. Or better, buy a portable Bluetooth speaker for the car and listen to AccaDacca via your phone’s Bluetooth.

It’s not worth their time..
It seems like a gravy job, they get the 1hr diagnosis plus whatever it calls for in labor for working maybe five minutes.
That being said, all of that cash is much better going towards aftermarket since the diagnosis costs more than most complete stereo kits these days.
Last 4 speaker & head unit pack I saw at walmart was about $120. I was tempted but then remembered I have quite a few sitting in the closet.
Buy a cheap install kit & radio, old ones with security go on the fritz after that length of time. If you have a tape/cd stuck in the stock one, just tear it down until you're able to rescue the treasure.

no. that would entirely defeat the purpose of disconnecting the battery. you WANT to reset everything.
I shouldn't get a Zap from taking the Negative off the battery?
Slight ark indicates there's a small current draw which is normal.
