Rotational metal on metal squeaking noise from front end while decelerating thru turns or going straight
2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS 5 door, automatic transmission with 59,000 miles. Noticeable squeal/squeaking noise from front end while decelerating and/or accelerating through 0-25mph range. New Parts as follows:
Replaced both inner tie-rod ends
Replaced left front hub/bearing assembly
New tires with balance and full alignment
Replaced front and rear motor mounts
Replaced front and rear pads and rotors
All repairs performed by certified mechanics.
After all of this, the noise is still present. Took the vehicle to 2 other shops. The mechanics at each shop took the car for extended test drives and confirm that the noise is present. At my request, I had the mechanics verify all previous repairs were done properly. The shop that did the repairs was unable to find the cause of this noise. The 2 other shops I went to could not identify the cause either. It was suggested that I take the vehicle to a Hyundai dealer to diagnose the problem. My question is could this noise be related to CV shafts or possibly in the trans axle.
Both. When was the transaxle lubricant changed last?
Thank you Doc.
Not sure when or if the fluid has been changed. I do not have a complete history on the vehicle.
