what should i do for cracks in rubber of ball joint as there is no leak of grease or any other noise......should i replace the rubber boot or whole ball joint????
.should i replace the rubber boot
I've never heard of boot replacements.
there is no leak of grease
If the joint is still good, then keep driving. Monitor it.
It depends on the specific application. Some boots are intended to be replaceable, some require replacement of the ball joint, and some (as @justin-shepherd mentioned) are intended to be replaced as an assembly. (As easy way to tell is to go to the OEM parts catalog; if they sell just the boot, obviously it’s replaceable.)
If you disconnect the joint and it’s all loose and floppy, it needs to be replaced. If it is stiff and you can’t move it or it’s hard to move, it might be ok, and you can just do the boot.
FYI, you can get a bag of assorted boots on Amazon or eBay for about $10, in case you can’t get the OEM. If you do replace just the boot, keep an eye on it because the joint might need to be replaced in the near future, regardless.
You left out a few details, however in general you would replace the entire ball joint.

Once the boot cracks, it needs to be replaced. Depending on the design of the car, you can either replace just the ball joint, or the ball joint and control arm come in one piece. That is the case with my '99 Ranger's upper ball joints. The upper ball joint and upper control arm came pressed together.
