I'm shopping for a used 2009 - 2012 Toyota Rav4. First question, should I go with 4 or 6 cylinders? which one is more reliable?
For these model years, what should I watch out for?

I'm browsing/researching for now but, I'm leaning towards a 4 cyl for gas consumption, don't really care about packages and options that much. Right now, I see one 6 cyl with 120k miles, 2009 model for $10995. There is a 4cyl one, 119k miles, 2009, for $8995.
The important thing for me is to know which engine/tranny is more reliable.
I’d pick the V6, but check the 4cyl for signs of oil burning as some of the 4cyl RAV4s had oil burning issues. When you are serious about buying, don’t forget to have it thoroughly inspected by a professional mechanic, before purchase.
