Spark Plug Dilemma

Hello Scotty, I have been subscribed to your YouTube since the beginning of this year and you've helped me save a lot of money by following your videos but yesterday the worst possible thing has happened to me, I NEED YOUR HELP! It's embarrassing but I didnt have the proper tools trying to change my spark plugs on my Nissan Sentra S 2018 and now I have a 14mm socket around my spark plug in its hole (not a deep socket like I was suppose to use) I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING!!! Now I can't get the socket or the spark plug out and I don't think I can even put the ignition coil back on it (but I havent tried yet). I have tried a magnetic tool, didn't work, bent flathead, didn't work! Today I've been researching possible ways to fish this socket out and I've read to try to push the socket out from the bottom side of the spark plug hole! Is that possible and is it something a rookie do it yourself-er could do without messing things up worst! OR can I blow or vacuum it out? If I can't do anything could I or better yet should I attempt to turn the car on and get it to the local mechanic 2 miles down the road?

Hi, you may try to glue something to the socket, or use some sort of Tak putty.

A bigger magnet?   Hemostats?  If you do decide to drive it, unplug the injector for that cylinder, your catalytic converter will appreciate it.

A couple of things you could try - a piece of coat hangar wire with a small hook bent on the end.  See if you can reach down past the socket and slip the hook under the edge of it.  Or, something long and fairly thin with a drop of super glue on the end - see if you can glue it to the top of the socket and pull it out, but be careful you just use a small amount of glue so you don't end up gluing the socket to the sparkplug and make matters worse.  Whatever you try don't use any downward force or you'll just wedge the socket on tighter.
