i have a 2015 Outback getting close to needing tires. i replaced the OEM tires @ 33,000 mi with a set of Michelin`s. these tires have been stiff/hard and horrible. the ride feels like the tires are made of stone picking up every seam or crack in the road. the car now has 65,000 mi and needing new tires. my outback never goes off road, and never sees snow. so, what is the best road tire that offers the SMOOTHEST and quietest ride for this car? google and youtube have been no help. neither answers my question about "smoothest/quietest" ride. i dont care about off road or snowy conditions.
A quick search of this site yields where I asked a similar question about tires around a year ago. I wanted a good ride too and ended up going with the Micheline Defender 2. They ride smooth and have been fine for me.car now has 65,000 mi and needing new tires. my outback never goes off road, and never sees snow. so, what is the best road tire that offers the SMOOTHEST and quietest ride for this car?
Other members produced good options for me and many of these tires/models should be fine for your outback.
Remember that the model or series of a tire is as equally as important as the brand name.

Which Michelins did you get? Some ride better than others. And some last longer than others.

Treadwear number is the only thing that matters with tires has been my experience higher the number the more they cost....
