Why are they so against LIDAR?
Your guess is as good as mine dude, if I were to say, I think it's cause Elon is an egomaniac and it's his way or the highway. He thinks he can outsmart other AI with his own. Granted what he has is revolutionary to some degree... But I still give it like 20 years before self autonomy would even be considered. If self driving were a thing then places that have e would have to ban human controlled driving. I don't think I'd be willing to give up my life for machine error just yet lol
To be honest it did better than I thought. Who expected it to be flaw less anyways? Obviously you shouldn't be driving autonomously on the roads.
I wonder how much it will cost to repair and also the cost of insurance. I am already not a fan of ADAS.
For tesla the dang car is more computer than a car tbh, I think the "repair" is downloadable and not a complete hardware swap. I mean unless it is, Tesla's early gen wasn't exactly what you would call quality workmanship lol no idea on insurance though.
