what's your opinion on this 90's two door lexus? how long will the last on the road and are they worth picking up?

Clarification: Will this be a daily driver or a weekend toy?

I'd have to say daily driver.

As a daily driver, forget about it.

Look for something newer & cheaper to fix, for a daily driver.

A lot of questions about 80's and 90's cars as daily drivers recently. There are none that you can daily drive today. Even the Hondas and Toyotas have issues when you start talking 30-40 years old.

Indeed. I think it’s originated from some YouTube/social media fad about driving old, classic cars. As usual, disconnected from reality.

Well, once again I have to chime in and say I've been daily driving cars that are over 20 years old for a very long time and it's worked out fine for me. (Current daily is a 1997 model.) It depends on the individual and their situation how well that approach will work out. My previous daily driver was 25 years old when I retired it from regular use, but that was only because I needed a vehicle with automatic transmission due to a medical issue. (I still have that previous car, now 35 years old and still running just fine.)

Nothing from the 90's is a good daily driver today. It's just too old.

IDK if there is a simple answer to this; I've had some "too old" daily drivers, but over the years, my Daily Drive has varied a LOT, and made it a very different proposition.

Daily drive #1 - 3 miles, suburban roads, #2 - 15 freeway miles to train station, #3 - 30 miles of city fender-to-fender combat (DC)

#1 and maybe #2, fine for an old car, #3 was hard on my New car (and nerves)

It can be a decent weekend vehicle to drive around. I recommend getting the inline 6 as it doesn’t consume as much gas as the V8. Still, the 6 cylinder is zippy. As always, have an honest mechanic check it out before you buy it.

Also forgot to mention that the SC w/ the inline 6 won’t cost you as much in repairs and maintenance.

They are well made but maintenance costs are through the roof.
