Scotty I’m big fan from the Bronx and I want to know your thoughts on buying a Honda Accord 2018 2.0t sport with 10 speed auto transmission near 25k miles on it ?
@mod_man has one so he can tell you all about the Accord 2.0t w/10spd.
Thanks 🙏
I love mine. Almost 17k miles on my 2020 and zero problems. Hasn't been back to the dealer for anything.
Its comfortable, gets 35MPG or better consistently, and has plenty of zip....especially in sport mode. The 10-speed is very smooth and it runs on regular gas. I can't complain.
Checked one out today 2018 10spd at.
I loved how the car looked felt solid and I was just a bit scared to pull the trigger on the sale. It was from a Honda dealership with a 5 year 100k warranty. They was asking 24k idk if I should go back and get it I’m still undecided since I originally went there to get a 2013 Acura TL 3.5 awd or a 2017 Camry se. decisions decisions right ? 😭😂
If you are talking about long term reliability/longevity, and how long it will last - no one really knows yet. If I was getting the Accord, I’d get the manual transmission (if you know how to drive manual) which was offered up to 2020 model year. Also, the 2.0T engine will be better than 1.5T in general and there are things you can do to mitigate oil dilution (including using the new GL-6 oil). See below:

How many years and miles are you hoping to get out of it?
Unfortunately due to so much stop and go traffic where I’m from learning how to drive stick would be pretty hard. I would’ve loved to get a civic si if it came down to it though. Thanks for the advice on the oil dilution thing I’ve heard that’s pretty common in the 2.0. I looked at one today with 25k on the odometer and they wanted 24k with a 5 year 100k powertrain warranty. Also I was looking to have it for a quite some time probably 5 years or so.
