Replacement fuel pumps keep dying

Hello,

i purchased this car 3 months ago and the fuel pump motor has died on me thrice already.

1. The first fuel pump motor was of the Suzuki swift. We replaced it.

2. The second one was a local, but the O ring got cut and we had to replace it.(but the motor was working fine)

3. The third one compeletly died and would not even run when we did a battery test.

4. We have put a DENSSO (correct DENSSO, a chinease copy of DENSO)

But i fear this might break down too. There is a pattern that it dies every 400-500km.

We bought this car used and it was idle and rusting for 4-5 years.

I have a few options.

1. Buy the entire assembly from a chinease OEM

2. Buy the entire assembly from a scrap yard(these guys will test the entire assembly and then sell it to us)

What seems to be wrong? is it cause i am only changing the motor? or is there some other issue.

Problem with the original toyota Fuel motor is, we cant seem to buy it locally and toyota is charging a premium for it, and we are not sure if that is the only issue since there is no warranty on the pump motor sold by toyota.

Please advice, since my dad drives this car daily and i cannot afford break downs.

You're not going to get very far with Chinese knockoffs of critical parts.

never ... ever ... cheap out on fuel pumps. You must love dropping fuel tanks.

toyota is charging a premium

you get what you pay for. You don't have to buy it directly from Toyota, but you do need to buy an OEM pump

Thank you for taking the time to respond Ok i will stick to OEM.
is there some other issue with the car? due to which this is happening?

What car? maybe if you posted the information in the instructions we could tell you.

But you need to start with a good fuel pump.

I am really sorry let me fix that. its a 2008 Corolla altis e140
