Should I buy a Toyota Solara convertible

Good Day Scotty,

I am now interested to buy a Toyota Solara convertible. After watching your video “The Toyota No One Talks About.”  In addition, as you recommend I have a good mechanic locally that has allowed me to drive my previous 2 cars (not Toyota's) over 147,000 and 208,000 respectively and believe in preventive and on-time maintenance.  However, I have always like rag tops and after watching your video have been searching for a Solara convertible as a summer driving car.

Unfortunately, most of the ones I find listed are not in the Pennsylvania but in the Deep South or California.  Any suggestions on how can I get these cars checked out by a reputable mechanic like yourself in their area before I make the purchase?

Thank you for your time,

Mark in PA

There seem to be a number of them available in Maryland - but, per usual for fairly rare cars and convertible in the Spring, the nice ones are pricey.
