I recently purchased a new 2021 Toyota CH-R Limited based a lot on Scotty's review of the CH-R and noted Toyota reliability (traded in a Chrysler minivan that was a rotting mess). But when searching nationwide (USA) for a CH-R, all were made in Turkey (as is mine). Scotty reviewed one made in Japan. It appears the U.S. market ones are now coming from Turkey, as are some Corollas. Is there any data or experience with Toyotas built in Turkey and long-term reliability? I've read online that some CH-R's (no mention of origin of manufacture) with issues with CVT. I believe the CH-R does not have the "launch gear" that other Toyota CVT's have. Would like some feedback, if possible? Did I goof with this purchase? (I did drive the Honda HR-V and the acceleration was hair-ripping slow, ruled out any Nissans due to CVT fears, and Hyundai Venue just felt so cheaply made I ruled it out as well), liked the Jeep Renegade but none available and reliability issues turned me off. With only 2500 miles on it, no problems, though the lane assist is too aggressive at times, especially with cruise control on but can disable that feature. Thanks!
Well I like the ones made in Japan I've seen Ford vehicles made in Turkey and they had quality controls problems
