Transmission clunk

2001 Honda CRV 175k Automatic

I heard the car shift from 1st fo second earlier today and heard a slight clunk almost like metal tap clunk. Very light when it shifted.

It shifts fine still. Hasn't happened since. Has had regular fluid changes with genuine Honda and fluid is full.

Only thing can think of is rear wheel bearings have been bad for months now. And I still drive it.

The clunk sounded like it was coming from the front.

Also I have towed about 4 or 5 cars short distances with it. Less than 20min each tow. The cars were, a 07 impala, 10 gmc terrain, 01 Sentra, 98 crv. Mostly was flat surface or downhill. When I towed the gmc my trans felt like limp mode for a split second couple times when I would hit accelerator. I let it coast and didn't hit pedal again after it happened.

Anyways could towing those cars short distances mainly flat or downhill, and if small hill went into first?

Or could it be because my bad wheel bearings?

It's shifting fine now and this weird clunk only happened once today. Hasn't come back

Yeah that wasn't made for towing. They might have strained it. But if it does come back since it's coming from the front do check the front wheel bearings and now all the front parts like ball joints, tie rods and CV joints for wear
