Tundra with periodic ABS problem

Hello Scotty, I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra sr5 4wd 5.7 engine crewmax with 170k miles. I am having a problem with the ABS system. everyonce in a while, im travelling at a normal speed 50 to 70 mph and when i let off the accel to slow down, I apply the brake and the pedal feels hard, so i apply more pressure to the brake pedal and it sinks down faster than usual with a vibration(abs working im guessing) until the pedal sinks. with this i hear a whine ( starts loud then lowers and disappears with abs) and the the truck eventually stops HARD. i then have ABS, Brake and VSC lights on dash. i keep driving and the truck functions and brakes normal like nothing happened but lights stay on. i have to shut off and restart truck for lights to disappear. i have taken it to toyota mechanic and they can figure it out. they tried a recalibration of some sort. didnt change anything. i changed out ABS sensors to no avail. i have 1" concentric wheel spacers on the wheels, would this make a difference. im also thinking it coyld be as simple as the brake booster, i also replaced and bled out all brake fluid in the brake system from fill reservior to each caliper.. Help please! by the way, ive been a fan for a few years now, your awesome bro!

Possibly. Spacers can mess up the geometry of your suspension.

concentric spacers alone do not affect suspension geometry. (maybe you're thinking of offset spacers)

Right, that's what I was thinking of.

Thank you Tobias, I will remove those and see if the issue stops.

so that means you installed non-factory wheels, correct?
