Dear Scotty, I live in Eastern Europe and drive a 1999 Audi S6 4.2 V8 6 speed manual AWD sedan 160k miles. Car is in good condition, runs like a beast. My mechanic specializes in sport Audis from that Era, he suggests changing the viscous fan on my V8 with an electrically operated fan, which is what the engineers in Audi did with the face-lift version of this vehicle. My mechanic has done this swap to plenty of other audis and says it will help accelerate the rpms faster. What do you think about swapping a viscous fan with an electrical one?
Well it does add a tiny bit of power if you want but you really not going to notice it
Thanks for the reply Scotty! Cheers!
