Hi, Scotty!!
I'm considering a 2005 Lexus RX 330 FWD with 105K miles. (I like the blue color.) The dealer is asking $9,200. According to TrueCar.com this is a fair price. (I believe this is exorbitant for a 15 year-old vehicle.) Are there any major problems I should be concerned about? What about a 2008 or 2009 RX 350?
@lissa
Consumer Reports lists the average retail prices as follow: AVERAGE RETAIL PRICE
$6,875 - $7,100. Dealers, as Scotty always says, charge more than an individual party. IMO they want to much for a 16 year old RX and I think it has an interference timing belt, bad if it breaks. It will destroy your engine and a rebuilt one costs between $4,500 to $5,000 just for the engine.

Japanese cars hold their value but the price on the 2005 RX seems high. They are reliable SUVs. Make sure all the electronics work.
