Scotty,
I recently changed out my intake manifold gasket on my 2001 Toyota Corolla with 135k miles. In doing so, I disconnected some air hoses and lines so that I could move the throttle body enough to get the manifold out and slide in the new gasket, put it back together and the car seemed to run great.
After driving a few hours I lifted the hood to find that my throttle body and part of the engine cover had a small layer of Automatic Transmission Fluid on it.
Any clue on why there would be ATF in such a peculiar place?
Thanks,
Phill Toomasian

It would pretty much have to be spraying on there from the leak location. (I once had a leaky transmission cooler hose do that.)
