The car shakes when starting in first Gear.
Strangely only when the engine is hot, when cold it does not.
I believe it is the clutch that is wearing out.
VW Passat 1.8 TDI 2001 with 480000 KMS

Well, a warrant clutch will certainly do that. But you might also want to check transmission and motor mounts
