The RAV4 is the best selling non-truck in the US. There are many good reasons for this.
If you are willing to spend $40k, the hybrid gets ~40mpg and the plug-in hybrid gets way more, and is the fastest car Toyota builds (BMW builds the Supras).
thank you for your advice! great suggestion! I have thought of RAV4 actually. I will definitely consider
I do want something reliable comes first for me
I'm tired of spending on gas
The technology just is not there yet. Neither is the infrastructure.
true, I'm hesitant to take a chance on EV's and deal with malfunctions and other faults.
I don't mind to even wait till February to get best deal aswell because from now till next year they will have end of year sale. or year 2022 cars will be on sale.
This will never happen in this market. Cars are being sold before even being built. Toyota has only 36 hours of inventory and the wait time for their hybrid cars in some places are close to a whole year. There are no cars sitting on the lot for the dealerships to have any reason to do a sale on them. If you want hybrid Toyota or Honda start shopping for a deal now and put your name on an incoming unit and wait for it to be built and be patient.
Don't buy electric car. Go for a hybrid either Toyota or Honda. The Rav4 is a good option. If you want something smaller the 2023 Corolla Cross will be having a hybrid version too. The cr-v is another option to consider.
That makes total sense. Great suggestions!! How come not electric? Overpriced? Not high rating for reliability?
The electric options that are currently available are not reliable in my opinion. But Toyota has a long track record for hybrid and they are reliable.
what do you think about 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid?
It's the company's first plug-in hybrid. I'd say it is too new with no proven track record and a high probability of teething problems.
The Crosstrek PHEV uses the Toyota Prius Prime hybrid system FYI.
