My parents' daily vehicles are minivan and midsize sedan. They're both endless money pits lol. Clue: Honda and Nissan

Moi? … One eleven years old compact (Fit), one eleven years old SUV (CRV), … and one seventeen years old sport car (Miata), … and I twiddle my thumbs (do absolutely nothing!) about my desire to own one more sport car (LC500).

Suprised no one said they drove a crossover (I guess only me who picked the wrong box but actually doesn't drive??)

Yeah, crossovers seem popular IRL, but not on here.

Where does a hatchback fit? Probably compact.

Most likely compact. Unless it is a bigger hatchback, then midsize.

For me:  1 compact car, 1 midsize SUV, and 1 sports car.

My dailies are a midsize and a compact car.

But I also often drive family around, so I use 2 different compact SUVs regularly.

The question is, you put a crossover section so is the RAV4 and CR-V REAL SUVs, or are they crossovers? According to wikipedia, the second one. According to 'merca, its the first.

I don’t think they are “real” SUV’s in the sense of the body on frame based 4Runner. That is the definition of a traditional real SUV, imho.

And I also don’t think of them as Crosssover’s although I have seen them labeled as such.

I think of the RAV4 and CRV as compact SUV’s. That’s how they were initially defined. They just drew a little bigger. They are almost midsized these days.

Crossovers are a confusing category. I usually consider sleeker backsides as crossovers, like the Accord Crosstour, Or most even numbered BMW X series.
