Hello!
I live in southern IL, Anna-Jonesboro to be exact. I am trying to find a good mechanic to give me their opinion on my 2006 Toyota RAV4 that was given to me. I heard you moved to Clarksville, TN, and I have a friend who lives in Hopkinsville, KY. I was wondering if you could take a quick gander at the car, or know someone nearby who could, maybe point out things that need to be done at what times. I can do most moderate repairs, but I don't have a lift, ramps, or Jack and jack-stands strong enough to do more complicated work. It's a Wisconsin car, so it has some rust, but I don't plan on doing anything too strenuous for too long in it. I have completely rebuilt the back brakes, need to do the front ones, changed the air filter, need to do a bigger tune-up and oil change. It probably needs all new brake lines sometime in the future, but they are not leaking. I was told it leaks about a quart of oil every 1500 miles. I put in Seafoam into the gas, and STP in the oil. I have replaced the upstream O2 sensor. It had a hard time starting when it was warm, hence why the Seafoam and the Air filter. I will try the MAF cleaner next. I need to find someone who can do a pressure fuel injector cleaning near me, and I think you are the only one who does within a 150 miles radius. It has about 176,000 miles, is the 4 cylinder, automatic, and 4 wheel drive. It has a whine in the back when it drives, I am thinking the Differential may need to be rebuilt. I just trust you much much more than others who have looked at it. I had a friend in Houston who used to bring their car to you, and recommends you highly. I was just wondering if you still looked at people's cars now in TN.
Thank you so much!
