I've got a used 2007 Honda Civic Ex manual at about 180,000 miles which is my first car that I bought less than a year ago for about 2.5k off the street. For a few months it's only been difficult getting into the 1st and 2nd gear at random times. I'll push the clutch in all the way, but the gear shifter just won't go into 1st or 2nd sometimes. Now, for the past month, after accidentally slamming the bottom of the front of my car; the front of the car shakes when I try to accelerate in 1st and 2nd gear unless I rev the hell out of it. I've heard the reason for the difficulty shifting into 1st and 2nd means I either need a new clutch or need to replace my transmission oil with new oil, but I dont know how to check if i need new oil since theres no dipstick. For the engine shaking, it seems like it might be that I damaged the engine mounts when I slammed the bottom of the front of my car but i dont know.
Better pray it's your clutch. If the shifting problems are due to either severely deteriorated oil or not enough oil in the transmission then the damage is already done. You can visually inspect the engine mounts to see if they're torn up or collapsed.
There is no dipstick on a manual transmission. Remove the FILL plug first, then the DRAIN plug. Re-install the drain plug and fill with the correct gear oil to the bottom of the fill hole, then install the fill plug. If that doesn't help, it probably means the synchros for your first and second gears are worn out and the trans needs a rebuild. Make sure your clutch is properly adjusted.
