Hi Scotty, Nothing is broken - i would just very much appreciate your opinion on my prospects. <grin>
I'm a retired 75 yr old senior in good heath. My 4-wheeled baby is 2014 Yukon Denali now with 120,000 miles on her. So far all she's required is normal maintenance (brakes, struts, tires, plug wires, etc
When GM recently issued a recall on the passenger-side airbag I had the dealer go ahead and replace the badly sun-cracked dashboard (I gather it's a frequent GM problem) - the rest of the interior is still pristine. Even the carpets, thanks to WeatherTec.
The only other significant repair was the transmission started a loud whine above 45 MPH at around 100K and I had to have the dealer fix some problem with a couple gears which took care of it. Now she rubs as quiet as ever. (I understand this is also not unheard of with these big engine Yukon & Tahoes.)
Here's my question - These days we only rack up about 5-10,000 miles a year. Am I being silly to hope that I can get another 8 to 10 years on the old girl? That this could be the last car I own?
Or, does experience tell you that I likely have some big, well-known problems to face ahead?
Love your channel - never miss an episode!
