| Answer to: Best diagnostic tool large fleet fords Under 10,000 | 14Relevance | 1 year ago | MountainManJoe | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| The "best" most comprehensive OBD tool for Ford light vehicles is the one dealers use: Ford's Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) VCM-II: It is likely not easy to use and involves a steep learning curve, as with any tool with that much capability. medium/heavy duty vehicles use a completely different diagnostic interface system (SAE J1587, J1708, J1939) which requires different hardware. As you are aware, the F-450/550 are class 3/4/5 trucks and kind of straddle the line between light duty and medium duty. Check what the connector looks like, and always ask the tool dealer about vehicle compatibility. | A Sad Day For Ford Owners | 14Relevance | 2 years ago | fishingandcarsenthusiast123 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi all, I just wanted to say that Ford now has yet another recall, this time for the 2022-2024 Edge models and because a glitch in the PCM means that it would potentially throw a code for a Catalytic Convertor/exhaust issue even though there really isn’t one. Dealers are tasked with reprogramming the PCM. Quick and easy fix at the dealer. My vehicle was affected so just wanted to let the car community know. Campaign #24-E09 Additionally, a few days ago, another one was announced. From Yahoo: “Ford is recalling close to 100,000 EcoBoost V6 engines. T ... | |||||

| Toyota Corolla & Honda Civic would be my top two choices. An Edge for the Civic for me, just because I like the overall package of the Civic. But An Edge to the Corolla for projected slight lower cost maintenance. Mazda 3 or Subaru Impreza would be my next. | |||||
| Answer to: Best Self-Made Gasket Material? | 14Relevance | 3 years ago | MountainManJoe | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| what OP is talking about: Have you looked online? no idea what your looks like, but Edge trim is widely available in a variety of shapes sizes and colors. EGR gaskets are typically made of steel laminated graphite and they're EXTREMELY cheap ($1.15 for the Lexus). I have no idea why you'd want to make them. Just buy two now. That should last the life of your car. stop | |||||

| Changing Oil Brands | 14Relevance | 3 years ago | thom1979 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hello, I own three GM vehicles and get the oil changed regularly. I have only used Mobil 1 because I always thought of it as a good oil and it has the dexos that GM requires. People has been telling me to start using Carol Edge. I've never been fond of the idea of switching brands, but if it helps the engine then I would like to try it. Any suggestions on Mobil 1 VS. Castrol Edge? | |||||

| I have a 2010 Volvo C70 and I was alerted that the inside Edge my rear tires were worn down to the steel belt and the outside Edge of the tire was like brand new. I checked You Tube regarding this problem, and there is only a "toe" adjustment that can be completed. Further checking shows that the rear lower control arm could be damaged. I am taking the car to an alignment shop this coming Wednesday to get it inspected. Is this a know problem for this particular car? | |||||

| A good set of budget tires from my experience is Kelly Edge A/S or A/T tires. I have their A/Ts on my 4×4 Ranger and I put their Edge A/S tires on my HHR when I was in college, on a budget. The Edges were pretty good. The A/Ts make a bit of tire noise on the highway, but I don't care, it's a truck. They're made in the USA and are bottom rack Goodyear tires. | |||||

But these days turbo’s are used to meet fuel consumption and emissions requirements. Honda vs Toyota: Both great. Edge goes to Toyota for longevity and total cost of ownership overall. My personal preference is Honda, because I like their interior, user interface, and styling better than Toyota on most models, while still pretty reliable. Small vs midsize. | Hello Scotty and Carkiller Nation. I recently purchased a 2010 Honda CR-V AWD I4 Auto Tranny with ~150k miles from private seller. Regretfully, the vehicle’s serpentine belt gets frayed 50-100 miles after replacement on the Edge nearest the motor. (Yes, I had an independent mechanic inspect before purchasing ☹️). Other than the belt, the CR-V runs fine. No OBD 2 codes, AC blows cold, power steering works fine, no problems with battery or starting vehicle, no water/oil leaks. The belt tensioner and water pump ride on the backside of the belt. ... | |||||
| Answer to: What are your thoughts on an 2022 acura mdx | 14Relevance | 4 years ago | Kaizen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Both are expected to be relatively reliable taking the whole market into consideration. The Edge goes to the Lexus because of NO VCM and NO timing belt (they use timing chains.). Timing belts require maintenance every 100,000-150,000 miles. Personally I like the offering of the MDX overall in style, performance, and reliability. So even though the Edge goes to Lexus on lower cost of maintenance; I’d go MDX. | |||||
