| 2010 Ford Taurus brake job tips | 25Relevance | 5 years ago | Seth Rosczewski | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey Scotty I have a 2010 Ford taurus 97,000 miles, Automatic. I saw your recent video where you covered the break job that ruined the ABS module. You said not to use clamps, is this so for a 2010 Ford taurus? I do my own breaks but now I am nervous that I could break that module | |||||
| Answer to: 2006 Ford Taurus good deal? | 25Relevance | 5 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Usually they have tons of miles are overpriced and in horrific shape but yours is not the case for a backup car it could be fine as long as you have a mechanic check it out before you buy it. The weakest point was the transmission. The transmission was just weak so have that checked out by your mechanic. / | |||||
| 2005 Ford Taurus vs 2009 Toyota matrix | 25Relevance | 5 years ago | dano27 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I currently drive a 2005 Ford taurus se sedan with 52k miles. It’s an auto with a 3.0L vulcan motor. I have the opportunity to either keep my car or to trade it for my dads 2009 toyota matrix s auto (2.4L engine) with 92k miles. Both are in good shape, taurus has needed small things, the toyota has never needed anything. I guess i’m wondering what you think is more likely to last me a few problem free years. The 2.4 L in the Toyota is known to have oil consumption issues but my dad has never had a problem. Thanks | |||||
| Answer to: 2001 Saturn L200 vs 2005 Ford Taurus? | 25Relevance | 5 years ago | Mod_Man | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| The taurus was not a very well built car in those years, but Saturns weren't either. I would probably take the taurus of the two just for the lower mileage and trans cooler. | |||||

I must be crazy i guess! remember this is a taurus station wagon not a sedan. thanks | |||||
| Answer to: How hard is changing a transmission at home? | 17Relevance | 2 years ago | Kaizen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Follow up related question. I just googled 2009 Ford taurus undercarriage to see what the transmission might look like: It looks like there are two big components with the exhaust pipe. This might be a dumb question. What is the left component that is more rectangular? What is the right component? I was thinking it was the transmission (left) mated to the engine (right) but it just doesn’t look correct to me. As the engine appears to be more forward, because of the exhaust. Mind you I am not a mechanic, just a guy trying to learn. | |||||

| ... can give me some advice on what to do. I apologize for the length. 3 years ago I purchased a 1995 Lexus Sc300 with the 2JZGE engine and automatic trans. The person that I bought the car from was in his early 20s and admitted he was in over his head. At the time I was working 12+ hour days following hurricanes that destroyed a good portion of our state. My job at the time sent company vehicles to a local garage (Chevy and Ford authorized repair centers were closed due to hurricane and the next closest were 2 hours away in Houston) for maintenance work and d ... | |||||

| Squeaking noise from transmission | 17Relevance | 3 years ago | jmp.iv | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| 2015 Ford taurus Interceptor. Squeaking noise at all times, mechanic advised sounds like it’s coming from transmission. Mechanic said it sounds/feels like it’s coming from the transmission. He also noticed a slight leak on the rear of the transmission. I called a transmission mechanic who said it could possibly be the torque converter since they’re notoriously bad on the taurus. | |||||
