| 2012 Buick Lacrosse with "e assist" | 31Relevance | 5 years ago | NickSke | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I am looking into 2012-ish Buick LaCrosse's and I've noticed that in addition to the 3.6L v6 you can also find some with a 2.4L ecotec I-4 with e assist (mild hybrid). I'm just wondering if this is a reliable system or if it's something to stay away from. | |||||

| 06 Buick Lacrosse Misfire And Vibration | 31Relevance | 5 years ago | cwaterwash | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey guys got an 06 Buick LaCrosse cxl with the 3.8L V6 engine and about 140,000 miles. I've got a p300 misfire code. Well one that reads as current and one as pending, not sure if that makes a difference. One day while driving to pick up my girlfriend it started vibrating pretty violently. It was right before a light so I threw it in park for a moment, it stopped, and continued to be fine after starting to drive again. Then about 10 minutes later after I picked up my girlfriend it started vibrating again. I unfortunately was leaving for a weekend trip that s ... | |||||

| Hey there, got an 06' Buick LaCrosse with 136,000 that seems to drive and run just fine. Starts up flawlessly every time. My issue is that I keep getting a code for Evap/Gas Leak, an occasional 'check gas cap' and sometimes when fueling the car it clicks off on me before it's even full. Usually if I start to pump, let it click, take out the pump, let it sit for a minute, then start fueling again it'll let me finish but I can't figure out the issue. I see no fluids on the ground before or after driving, smell no gas, but sometimes hear what sounds like liquid ... | |||||

| That had the Buick 3800-series III V6 engine, which was fairly reliable and one of the better engines produced by GM. For more thoughts, see below: | |||||

| Assuming the Lucerne has the Buick 3800 engine, those engines are bulletproof. If it has the 3.9, then it is also not bad. If it has the 4.6 Northstar Cadillac engine, then you might also be ok. The Buick Lucerne is Buick's version of the Cadillac DTS which wasn't necessarily a bad car. The Buick LeSabre that you are looking at is also a good car. Test drive them both and see which one you like. | |||||
| Answer to: Are chrysler better than buick | 27Relevance | 5 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| The 2000 Buick LeSabre has the same powertrain (pretty stout and reliable 3.8L Series II 3800 V6 engine mated to the 4-speed 4T65-E transmission) as the Buick Park Avenue. Between the Buick and Chrysler, go with the Buick. Be sure to have a mechanic thoroughly check it out first and give the OK before going through with the purchase. Although at 21+ years old, be aware the plastic, rubber, seals, etc. may need to be replaced, and some of the electronics may not all be working. | |||||
| Slowest selling used and new vehicles | 28Relevance | 3 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| According to a recent study by iSeeCars the following 10 vehicles were the slowest-selling used cars and all took longer than 60 days to sell on average: . Buick Enclave: 64.3 days Chrysler 300: 64.7 Chevrolet Blazer: 65.9 Land Rover Range Rover: 68.4 Tesla Model X: 71.4 Cadillac XT4: 71.9 Land Rover Discovery Sport: 73.6 Ford Mustang Mach-E: 75.8 Buick Envision: 82.3 Tesla Model S: 88.3 . Meanwhile, the following 10 new cars were the slowest-moving and averaged more than 80 days. . Infiniti QX80: 87.2 Nissan Murano: 88.7 Ford Edge: 93.6 Nissan Leaf: 95.2 Lincoln Aviator: 105.1 Mazda MX-5 Miata: 107.3 Ford Mustang: 108.6 Buick Envision: 117.0 Land Rover Discovery Sport: 119.4 Jeep Cherokee: 128.7 . Overall, used cars sold in 49 days on average, which iSeeCars noted as an improvement over a year ago. At the same time, new car sales have slowed by 25.7 percent, and electric vehicles of all types take twice as long to sell on average than they did in the previous year. While that’s not the best news for automakers, it could mean better prices and a stronger negotiating position for buyers in the finance office. Then again, with the exception of the Mazda Miata none of these vehicles are ones Scotty or we recommend to buy in the first place. . Source: | |||||
| Answer to: Your Perspective On All New Buicks? | 28Relevance | 4 years ago | Dan | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Buick has long been pretty much dead for the last couple of decades. The current Buick line-up it's just fancier versions or sedan versions of regular GM products (Tracker, Trailblazier, Malibu and the Traverse), Beforehand, most Buick models were mostly just rebadged Opels. Either way, the cars aren't great at all. Their current manufacturing facilities are actually interesting, The Korean ones are built by "GM of Korea" previously known as Daewoo motors. Yes, the guys who built copy cats of western cars, sold rebadged cheap Econo-boxes and are r ... | |||||

| Hey Scotty! I decided it’s time to grow up and traded in my 2020 Subaru WRX for a 2017 Buick LaCrosse with 40,000 miles. It has much more room, better gas mileage, simple fwd, decent bells and whistles inside, and even faster than the Subaru ironically. It has the high feature 3.6 liter V6, and the Aeton 8 speed transmission. There is virtually no info out there about Buicks, can I get this car to 250,000 miles? | |||||

| Hi there. I have a 2012 Buick LaCrosse Touring FWD with 140k miles, V6 engine and a rebuilt tranny from the aftermarket warranty company with around 45k miles. While waiting at a light or any other place where the car is in drive and idling, I've noticed that every once in a while, for about 1/10th of a second the car weakly tries to move. It's very intermittent. The RPM's drop very slightly and briefly. What do you think? Thank you. | |||||
