Was my 2017 Lacrosse a good choice?

Hey Scotty! I decided it’s time to grow up and traded in my 2020 Subaru WRX for a 2017 Buick Lacrosse with 40,000 miles. It has much more room, better gas mileage, simple fwd, decent bells and whistles inside, and even faster than the Subaru ironically. It has the high feature 3.6 liter V6, and the Aeton 8 speed transmission. There is virtually no info out there about Buicks, can I get this car to 250,000 miles?

Well, you never know you might have your baby. It. Realize the weakest thing is the transmission. If you do burnouts and accelerate fast all the time, you will eventually destroy the transmission because that's the weakest point. So if your baby it you might get that far. And of course change the engine oil and filter every 5000 miles and change the transmission oil and filter every 40,000 mi

We have the 2017 Buick Enclave. The only real issue was concerning a code which came up which was specific to the fuel pump module. My mechanic replaced it 3 times ( I only paid for it once) and the code and check engine light kept popping up. He sent out an inquiry to all the national mechanic sites he is on as well as speaking to local GM dealership service people he knows. Nobody knew what to do with it. I was searching for recalls and any posted issues on the car.The site was down and I clicked on some random site reviewing this model. Way down in the review this exact problem was mentioned with "no known fix". However ,it was suggested to do an "induction" service on the car. Apparently, these engines have a carbon build up problem. The induction service was done and the problem was fixed! This was at 50,000 miles. The car has 62,000 miles now. I am going to do the induction service with transmission flush every 40,000 miles. As an aside, my son took his 2019 Blazer in at 35,000 miles and an induction service was done as per their suggestion. I think it has a similar engine as the Enclave. Both of these cars have been good and the Blazer has 52,000 miles and no problems. Maybe Scotty can do a video on this "induction" service and if and when it is recommended.
