Ok, so I am contacting you because I am looking to buy my first car. | Answer to: Is a classic car a good first car? | 10Relevance | 6 years ago | Larry | Submit Your Question HERE
| Truthfully I would advise against a classic for your first car. It's not only that you have absolutely no safety equipment.(Airbags, anti-lock brakes, and energy-absorbing zones) Well actually that's my biggest gripe. I m 58 and live in Fort Worth and just sold a really nice 85 Z 28 because it had no safety stuff. I bought a 99 Z 28 with 2.5 the horses, antilock brakes, and airbags. I drove it 16 months and realized I was fighting hitting the gas everytime I sat in it. The older cars are easier to fix and thats a fact. My advice is from a person who wants t ... | |||||

| ... first car that a used car is better to start with). I have had quite a few of the exotics - the advice of having it for a hobby car is excellent. Depending on the car parts can be interesting to find and the lower miles you put on it the better. (There are many cars that appreciate in the classic market). So wait join the local car club of the one you are interested, find the BB for the cars you are interested. Talk to people on the board and find something you really love. Another big advantage is with a classic car many states you can get collec ... | |||||

| First Oil Change on new car? | 8Relevance | 3 years ago | CanadianMoose | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey scotty, love your videos! I ordered a new Elantra and I was wondering when to do my first oil change? I am thinking maybe after the first 1000 km (break-in period for Hyundai) just to get any metal particles out of the engine that may shred off during the break-in process or any dust left from manufacturing. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks! Much love from Alberta, or Texas of Canada as I call 😉 | |||||

| Hi, my son saved up some money and is wanting to a 2015 Mazda 3 with 98,000 miles on it from a private individual. It is his first car. We went and looked at the car. Nice shape. Engine had no strange noises, struts seemed fine. Drove nicely. Automatic transmission shifted smooth. I don't own an OBD II scanner so wasn't able to scan the car. Wanted your thoughts about buying the car. Love your YouTube channel. Many thanks! A fan in Dallas, Texas. | |||||

| Should I buy a 32yr old Camry as my first car? | 8Relevance | 3 years ago | Flapjacks | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I am in college and I'm looking for used cars to buy, I live about 6 hours away from my hometown I found a 1991 Toyota Camry CE sedan 4D with 157,000 miles, automatic its from a marketplace listing asking for 3,000$. I just wanted to ask if it would be a good first car to buy, my only concern would be if the car were to leave me stranded as its 30 years old. Along with how much life is left for the car, I know that Toyotas have a good life span and just wanna make sure this car is worth it. Thank you 🙂 /p> | |||||

Hi Scotty, I've been devouring your videos lately and am grateful someone like you is sharing their wealth of knowledge with the world. After purchasing a used car recently, I needed to get a jump start due to leaving the lights on. After the jump start I've noticed a few issues: A buzzing noise coming from under dash upon turning the key to the point right before the engine starts. Intermittent failure to start the engine af ...

I get about 8 to 10 miles down the highway the oil light on my car starts flashing then faster. I had driven about 4 miles give or take before I could pull over safely. Bottom line the car was knocking and there was absolutely no oil indicated on the dipstick it was bone dry. But there was signs there was oil at one time. The hoses in the car were covered with oil and oil sporadically sprayed in the engine ...
