| Hey I got a 2013 ford fusion that just started having some weird shuddering problems when going in to 40 and going to 60mph. It’s really noticeable if you trying to accelerate uphill and the car is try to shift gears and it goes away when it successfully goes faster I try to it give some more gas to help it out. I avoid the highway now to avoid going fast and hills on highway here in Tennessee. Been a good no many problems out of it since I had it just had my rotors and brakes changed and I got a code for my catalytic converter threshold. Gonna get it to a m ... | |||||

| Get a used Camry or Corolla. For that money, you could probably find a nice used 2012-2013-ish Corolla in good shape and probably a reasonable amount of miles (might be near or slightly over 100k). You could maybe try to find a nicer Ford fusion (say a 2010 or later). I believe Scotty had some good things to say about the 2010-2012 model year fusions with the 2.5L 4 cylinder). I would just stay away from anything from GM, Nissan, Chrysler/Fiat and some others. I would say Toyota or Honda would be the best, second by the Ford fusion like I mentioned. Be ... | |||||
| Answer to: Should I buy a 2016 Ford Fusion? | 13Relevance | 1 year ago | Justin Shepherd | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I had a 2013 Ford fusion that I bought used in 2016. It was fine for the two years I had it. I traded it in for my 2017 Mustang that I bought new in 2018 as a leftover. Mine had a 1.6L EcoBoost engine. Knowing what I know now, I should have gotten the 2.4L naturally aspirated engine instead if I wanted longevity. If it's naturally aspirated (you didn’t specify what engine or hybrid engine is in it), it will last longer than the EcoBoost engine will. That is suspiciously low mileage at a suspiciously low price. I'd be leary that it had a major accident an ... | |||||

| I currently have a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan, 245k miles. 3.3 My friend offered to trade my caravan for this 2012 ford fusion hybrid that has 100k miles Seems to drive fine but when took oil cap off when at idle, lots of pressure comes out. No smoke or oil. No discolored fumes or anything. Just clear pressure, enough to make oil cap go flying. Is this normal on these? Also if no hybrid lights are on does it mean hybrid batt is fine? | |||||

| Dear Scotty, Our 2012 Ford fusion (150,000 miles, 4 cyl/auto, and well kept since new) has developed an intermittent A/C problem that has gotten more bad than good. It blows cold then warm air and when it blows warm are it seems to not make a ‘click’ sound. I assume the click is from the clutch relay or similar. We are planning to ‘take it in’ but not sure what to be aware of to avoid ‘the parts cannon’ approach. Are there common problems? Part Throttle Pete | |||||

| I bought a 2013 fusion in 2016, and sold it when I bought my 2017 Mustang. I didn't have any problems with the car in the time I had it. I bought it at 48k miles and sold it at around 65k miles. The Mustang was a leftover 2017 that I bought brand-new in 2018. The car salesman knew my step dad for 18 years at that time. He worked in IT at that time, and he switched to a car salesman. | |||||

| Actually the most frequent problem reported on those Fords is with the electric power steering ($$$$ to fix). Transmission and engine problems also make the list. Be sure to have any used car you are planning to buy thoroughly checked out by a good mechanic before purchase. | |||||

| Hi Scotty, I'm looking at a 2012 Ford fusion SLE with the 2.5 L and six speed (6F-35) transmission for a second vehicle with one owner and just over 100 K. I had an 09 Milan with the 2.3 L which I know are similar to the 2.5 and pretty reliable and stout as I had over 270K when I sold it. However, I don't hear such good things about the 6F-35 and it is recommended by some to avoid it altogether. I would like to hear your opinion on it. Thanks. | |||||

| I've been considering buying a 2019 Ford fusion Hybrid with 59,000 miles on it. I was just wondering about how long the EV Lithium battery last on these cars and about how much it would cost to replace? Don't know if this would be a good investment or not. The car is at a large Hyundai dealership and they told me the battery was guaranteed for another 29 months or 40,000 miles. | |||||

| Hello I've got a 2012 Ford fusion SEL 179k miles 3.0 V6 engine. I know that's basically end of life for a American car especially a ford, BUT I'd like to prolong the life longer if possible. The transmission kinda clunks and maybe slips too? seemgly in every gear to some degree not each gear is as bad as the others. I was hoping I could try Anti slip fix like the Lucas one or something. No codes or anything if it helps transmission was always rough, but after the battery was dead for some days after jumping it the transmission got significantly worse. Either ... | |||||
