Hello, I own a 05 Toyota Corolla with 146k miles. Lately, it has been overheating. The cooling system is new. To be honest, a lot of parts under my hood is new. I’m done spending money on new parts because it seems to not be working. What could possibly be wrong with it? Thank you

Never work on a hot engine wait atleast for 2hours to make it cool before working on car cooling system

check engine and coolant temperature sensor if equipped.

check radiator fins are not bent or damaged

check coolant is flowing freely in radiator means radiator inside pipes are not blocked.  don't open radiator with engine running or engine is hot wear eye protection and keep a bucket full of ambient temperature water with you in case of misshaping. o your research on this step.

check coolant reservoir level

check for bad radiator cap

could be a poor or non-recommended coolant water based or OTA (Glyco based)

may be you are using wrong engine oil grade

check for engine oil level when engine is cold check the dip stick shows level between min and max mark, car parked on flat surface for accurate measurement.

what do you mean by over heating is the engine steaming vapors ? after how many km of driving or time? failed to start and ODO warning lights. Car was runing with ac on or off  or with heater. helpful if try to be more specific next time.
