No not even for a first car. That truck is 55 years old and even if you find one in decent shape people aren't just giving them away. https://classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars-for-sale/1966-ford-f100-for-sale

Take care of the car you already own and then once you can afford to have two cars and you have some disposable income then feel free to look for something like this.

It in the shop right know because Me and my dad had start it because it was setting for a year and I may be a mechanic

It wouldn't serve you well because of its age and you probably can't afford not only the constant repairs that come with age, but also buying a now classic truck. I mean maybe when you are older and can save some money for a toy it might be an alright idea but now I personally find it a risk. I know me as a teenager would never buy any vehicle that old that costs that much.

I'm pretty torn on this one.  My first vehicle was an old truck.  It would tear up and I'd have to fix it (if I could).  However, it was a great start on learning how to fix vehicles.

If the truck has been taken care of and lots of stuff replaced over the years as needed it might work well for you.  I do believe you will have to repair it a often, but if it has not been modernized much it shouldn't be too hard to work on.

My opinion is if its in good shape mechanically and not rusted out, if its cheap (maybe you are getting it from a family member), and if you have a spare vehicle, then maybe.   My biggest drawback would be having to keep insurance on 2 vehicles.  When I was a teen it was hard enough keeping insurance on one vehicle much less two.

Well, if you find one in halfway decent shape that you can afford you won't find anything else that's much easier to work on. Since it wouldn't be your main vehicle I don't see why not if you are well off enough financially that you can handle a weekend toy that's going to need a lot of TLC. (So if you've won the lottery, great, but if you're strapped for cash better forget it.)
