2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab V8 SLT.
Installed a new battery as the prior one was damaged. It seems that here is a short that drains the battery. Therefore, I performed a continuity test, with a multimeter, and all fuses in the distribution panel and the Fuse Block have continuity. Then I performed a test to find the short circuit using a test light. The light turned off when pulling the 40 AMP INT LMP fuse from the distribution panel. I test all the fuses in the distribution panel and no other fuse turned the test light off. Then I ptu the 40 AMP INT LMP fuse back in the distribution panel to perform the same test on all fuses in the Fuse Block located in the driver side panel. The test light turned off when pulling out fuse 1 or the 15 AMP INT LMP circuit. I put it back and test all the other fuses to ensure no short cirtcuit on other fuses.
After I finshed the performing the test light test and making sure the 40 INT AMP fuse in the distribution panel and the 15 AMP INT LMP fuse in the Fuse Block panel were connected and the Test Light ON, I closed the door and the Test Lighht went off.
The original problem is that FIXD is showing a P0155 Engine Code error. I performed the test light tests after reading that a short circuit might be contributing the O2 Sensor 2 to error. Afyer all I cannot pin-point which component has a short circuit. Am I missing some other test I can perform to pinpoint the exact component to fix this issue?
By the way the "FIXD" scan tool is, to be kind, not exactly top quality. There are much better choices out there. (See the FAQ for details.)
