I have a 2004 Buick Lesabre Custom I inherited from my great grandparents. Car was garaged until now. I drove the car for 2 months and one morning it wouldn’t start. Took it to Grismer and they told us it was bad ignition control panel and 3 modules so we bought them and it ran fine for 2 more months then one morning same thing no start. So I test fuel line and find out it’s the fuel pump, replace the fuel pump to find out the ears broke off and rusted together with the fuel pump lock leading to me replacing the entire fuel tank. I get everything put back together and still nothing. Bought a new battery and it ran smooth for 1 min before dying again and not starting again. No codes from several different scan tools. Also replaced crankshaft censor. Cranks and cranks but won’t start. Fuel pressure gauge reads around 60.
I ALSO CHECKED FUSES AND RELAYS VISUALLY ALL MY WIRING AND HARNESSES LOOK TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE BUT I THINK MY PROBLEM IS ELECTRICAL. And also swapped the ignition control panel and modules out under warranty and the car ran for another minute before dying and not starting again. This cars my only option at the moment please help!!!!
I don't know what a 'Grismer' is. See the FAQ for diagnosing a no-start condition.
Grismer is an auto repair shop here in Ohio
As I said read through the FAQ section on starting problems. A quick test to tell whether you have an ignition problem or a fuel delivery problem is to spray some starting fluid into the air intake and crank the engine. If it briefly fires up you have spark. That at least can give you some direction as to what's going on.
It sounds like there's a lot going wrong with that car which would not be unusual for an 18-year-old Buick.
