I’m having trouble finding the issue with my PCV system. 2004 Saturn 3.0 V6, gm shows that it has an oil separator. I’m getting oil through the intake into the air filter. The car has 40,900 miles and runs amazing, once I noticed this issue I’ve since stopped running it. I’m not a “rookie” when it comes to engines, however, I’m not experienced with this type of system. Everything I’ve researched brings me to Opel or a traditional PCV valve (which this engine doesn’t have). Any help would be appreciated. Back story: the car was bought brand new by an older couple, it was driven very little (church, doctor, grocery). I’ve replaced control arms, brakes, fuel filter line and cleaned it up. It seems to be a very nice car with low miles, I’m just concerned with this issue and not sure I want to keep it based on the complexity of the systems they chose for this engine design (thermostat, PCV, etc).
Fuel “filler line”, and the car has an “opel type oil separator” no traditional PCV valve.
Yes it doesn't have a PCV valve but you can clean that system out to make sure that it's working correctly but let me tell you something those were horrendous engines made by GM I personally would not want to put any kind of money into a car like that because they were terrible engines and overtime it will break and of course the car is worth nothing since they don't make them anymore and they were failed designs
