Battery light on solid, brake light on solid and AWD Lock light on solid then blinking then goes away and comes back. Alternator was replaced and car wouldn’t accelerate. Disconnected battery and reconnected it causing it to go into limp mode. Was told only dealership can fix it. What can I do to avoid the dealership? Their diagnostic fee and towing fees are expensive!
It needs an alternator that is the main cause of the brake and battery lights being on. Not the easiest job but doesn’t have to be the dealer. I would replace that first before the awd light just in case that lights on due to a voltage concern from the alternator
The alternator was replaced to fix the battery issue and it did get the light to turn off. The same day they did this, not even a few hours later, it went into limp mode.
Are there any codes stored since it’s going into limp mode and the brake and battery lights are off?
