I bought a used 2006 Highlander Hybrid Limited last year and the previous owner told me that the keyless remote has not been working. I took it to the dealer and even they could not figure out what was wrong with it. Any idea on what could be wrong? I love the car and everything else works perfect. Thanks
Is it even the original remote? Man if dealer cant trouble shoot, than thats even a bigger problem.
Dos your remote communicate with your car at all? I mean does it do anything or it is just not functioning at all?

Does not do anything. Dealer said it would take a lot of digging or probably replacing a module or something like that. Don’t know much about car electronics 🙁
You might check it before but I wonder if the remote battery is good.
