We have 06 Camry currently at 375k miles. Everything is good except it consumes a lot of oil. Those Camry's have a design flaw for thin piston rings. I poured the UV Dye and after driving it for couples miles, I thoroughly checked and couldn't find any leaks. So I know it's the piston rings for sure. I'm not planning on rebuilding the engine anytime soon , only for future reference when the engine eventually dies. So instead of just replacing the piston rings, I might well just rebuild the whole engine since I'm stripping the engine anyways and it takes a lot of time and work anyways to do it. We are a DIY and have never rebuild an engine before. I have been watching lot of YouTube videos and learning things on rebuilding 2AZFE Engine. So when I take the block to a Machine Shop will they let me know what size pistons and rings I need to buy after Boring and Honing Cylinders? Also will they let me know what size bearings I need to buy? Cause when I shop for pistons, rings and bearing its asking me what size I need. For example for the Pistons and Ring sizes its asking STANDARD or OVERSIZE 0.50mm/0.020in. For the Main and Rod Bearings Size its asking me STANDARD , UNDERSIZE 0.25mm/0.010in or UNDERSIZE 0.50mm/0.020in. I am shopping for Complete Overhaul Engine Kit on Ebay or MagEngines.com. The kit on the dealer is way too expensive. Just for the rings alone they are asking $400. So I can can get a complete Overhaul engine kit on Ebay for $500 something. What does the Machine shop do to your blocks other than boring and honing? Do they do anything else? How much does it cost to Bore and Hone 4 cylinders? Also explaining to me in complete details from point A to point B helps a lot cause we have never rebuild an engine before. Thanks.

You can't teach engine building in a forum post. Find someone who has done it before to walk you through it. Or get yourself an engine overhaul manual and watch A LOT of videos. But you're going to need a lot of equipment ... a lift, engine hoist, engine stands, and a lot of specialty tools.
Unless you plan to get into autosports, rebuilding modern engines not a worthwhile endeavour for Johnn public. Especially not for first timers. I would say get a tested manufactured off the shelf engine from powertrain products, but it might not even be worth it for a 20yo vehicle. Good used engine maybe.
Ok thank you. I will definitely watch and learn and rewatch the videos like maybe couples times to get the hang of it. Also I don't trust used engines. You never know what it had gone through. I would rather have it rebuild by myself so I know it's safe and I know I did the job right. Also I'm only planning to rebuild when the engine completely dies so why not get it Rebuild and that way I can learn as well.

The machine shop will let you know after measuring cylinder wear how much if any the engine needs to be bored out. If lucky you might just need to have cylinders cleaned up with a hone and use standard-size parts.
For the Main and Rod Bearings Size its asking me STANDARD , UNDERSIZE 0.25mm/0.010in or UNDERSIZE 0.50mm/0.020in.
Likewise when they check the crank they will let you know if it needs to be ground undersize and how much.

Don't buy critical engine parts from eBay. Lots of low-quality, counterfeit parts there. I'm not familiar with MagEngines.com.
It is too soon to buy a rebuild kit until you know what the machine shop finds.

Check for warpage and cracking. The oil pump should be checked for wear. The machine shop should also check your cylinder head. At a minimum valves will need to be cleaned up, some may need replacement. Ditto for valve seats. Cam bearings may need to be replaced, valve guides checked for wear, and valve stem seals replaced. The cams should be checked for wear as well.

These days I have no idea. The last time I rebuilt a car engine was about 30 years ago and it was for a 1967 Rambler V8 with a cast iron block. Not only is there decades of inflation, you're dealing with aluminum. (I still have the car and the rebuilt engine still runs great, by the way.)

There is a LOT to properly rebuilding even a relatively simple 1960s-vintage engine, let alone a modern one, I'd say more than can be 'splained here.
Clearances need to be carefully checked, piston rings and their gaps checked and oriented, nothing taken for granted. Lots of assembly lube required as well to protect everything and at least on the old-school engines we'd pack the oil pump with vaseline so it's primed and ready to go. That's just scratching the surface, it's not a matter of simply bolting the parts together. I suggest you look for details online. I'm sure there are plenty of videos and other sources going into the subject of engine rebuilding in detail.
Ok thank you.
