2006 Toyota Tundra access cab SR5 4.0L V6P0335 Crankshaft position sensor "B" issues, 148,000 miles on truck
Perhaps someone can help me. After a long period of intermittent fails to start and/or hard starting and losing power/acceleration while driving, code P0335 came up. I replaced the crankshaft position sensor B. Truck started right up and worked well for 1 week. Same problem again. Replaced the sensor and thought maybe I'd bought a rotten sensor. Changed brands this time for a Denso. 1 week later, it went out. How can I troubleshoot the wiring to see what's causing the sensors to fail? This is getting expensive. I can buy a used wire harness for 239 bucks, but what a pain in the butt to replace! Can anyone offer advise from experience? My truck is perfect other than that issue...
Forgot to mention automatic transmission...
Well either you have a problem in the wiring a problem the computer or your timing chain has stretched realized a stretch timing chain will continue to trip that cold
Ok, timing chain has never been replaced. Thought they were "lifetime". Toyota dealership never mentioned the possibility... thanks!!
Timing chain should have been changed at around 120,000 miles if not before.
