Skwira is pronounced squirt without the "t" sound at the end and insert the a sound or "ah."
I have a 2007 Toyota Yaris with 243800 miles on it. The car starts just fine when it's above freezing. For the last 2 fall/winters around November when things start to freeze in Minnesota the car starts cranking a lot more. In the past this extra cranking was a warning I needed a new battery. However the battery was replaced in the fall of 2019 and has tested good for several oil changes. It only does this when the car sits over night and is fine say when I go some where for lunch. I saw this thread who is experiencing the same exact symptoms, and this DIY guy said the fuel filter fixed the problem. I took the car in a few weeks ago to get wheel bearings and asked if they could diagnose the starting problem, but they couldn't find anything (and I'm guessing it's because of the warmer temperatures). Here's the link to the thread: https://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58998
Or perhaps I can just run premium fuel from now until the end of its life.
Does running premium fuel solve your starting issue?
Have you tried replacing the fuel filter?
