I have a 2008 suzuki grand vitara with a bad delay in my transmition. it's cheaper to get the transmition rebuilt. should i rebuild it or wait till i can afford a new transmition?

Are you sure it's worth it? Did you find out the costs?
Did you check the ATF?

We have a section called delayed or rough shifts in the FAQ but no one bothered to do it so I guess you should wait until that premiers
