Both are overpriced.

I can’t speak to the price but I trust Kerem since he has been researching all these things.  But aside from price, the Accord is better in terms of lasting as long as possible which seems important to you, esp. with that true and tried 2.4L engine and 6-speed transmission (You didn’t specify transmission, but I presume the 6-speed MT which was standard for the LX.  Avoid the CVT which was an available option.)

There was previous discussions on the 2013 Accord 2.4L with 6-speed MT for your reference:

OK thanks.

What I can say is that the Chevy Volt is better than the regular gasoline cars GM makes but really nothing compared to the Honda Accord. The Honda Accord would be a very reliable car. The only reason I am wary about the Accord is that the 2013 year was the first model year and it has issues. The price is decent on the Accord, overpriced on the Volt. I would look for a 2015 Accord or something. The Volt is a plug-in hybrid and I can't trust GM quality on that one.

To give you some information, LA, which has one of the most expensive prices on used cars, has a 2014 Volt 98k miles listed for $9000.

For the Accord, here is a listing that is similar: https://yubasutter.craigslist.org/cto/d/gridley-2015-honda-accord-clean-title/7255972856.html

But if you are thinking about keeping these cars for as long as possible, I would go with the Accord.

You might also want to check out common complaints:
The Volt doesn't sell much but the years with most complaints are 2012 and 2017: https://www.carcomplaints.com/Chevrolet/Volt/

Here are the complaints for the Honda Accord. Click on specific years for common problems and click on them for insight on expenses and mileage at which the issue has occured.

OK. I'll check it out

How long do you plan to keep and how much mileage do you plan on adding on?

As long as possible. Mileage need 2 go back and forward 2 work and occasional out of town which is less than a 100 miles
