AC blows warm

What would cause my 2013 Toyota Highlander to blow lukewarm air during idle but ice cold when running? The freon level is at the correct psi but different from my truck the air is not cold during idle speeds.

How do you know that you have the correct level of refrigerant? It's not unlikely that some has leaked out over nearly a decade.

Used my guages and it it was in the full level

That doesn't necessarily mean anything when you have a variable-displacement compressor (virtually all vehicles since early 2000s) since it will tend to keep pressures up even if the refrigerant level is getting low. The only way to know for sure you have the correct amount of refrigerant is to evacuate the system and charge in the proper amount by weight.

Another thing to check is operation of your temperature blend door which may be malfunctioning.

Okay I will have my mechanic look at it because last thing I want to do is add more freon and possibly over fill it.

Yeah, you have to be careful about that, modern AC systems need to be within just a few ounces of specification. It's quite possible though that your problem is due to an electronics malfunction affecting operation of the HVAC blend door. A bidirectional scan tool would be needed to diagnose that.

Also check that fans on the condensor/radiator assembly are working properly. Lack of airflow at idle can cause poor cooling.
