Hi everyone,
Got rid of my 2016 Tacoma and got a 2016 4Runner. I can immediately tell it was the right decision. However, I've noticed 2 things that the 4Runner has in common with the Tacoma I had, and I don't know if they're common issues, or just how the vehicles are built -
1. When you turn off the A/C system, air still comes out of the vents.
2. The screen on the infotainment system flashes occasionally (happened WAY more on the Tacoma).
Neither is a real problem, but just something I noticed. I'm probably going to replace the infotainment system anyway, so that one's not a big deal, but as for the A/C thing, I just wanted to see if maybe there was a problem that needed addressing.
Thanks!
Shut the fan off.
I do switch it off. Not a lot of air comes through, but it's enough to tell it's there.
Then just set it to recirculate instead of fresh.
Gotcha. Thanks, I'll give it a try.
Also, you may have a faulty blower resistor, allowing the fan to continue running.

Interesting. Thanks Doc 👍🏼
Is this a common thing with Toyotas?
Yes. If it's not the heater blower resistor, it may be the fan switch itself.
Thanks Doc!
