2016 Yukon XL - P0300 Random Misfire

I'm getting a random misfire on my 2016 Yukon XL. I used my OSB2 and pulled the code and it's showing most counts are narrowed down to Cylinder 6 and Cylinder 7. I've replaced all the spark plugs, but when I drove it today to test it ... I smelled a slight fuel smell inside the cab. Could that be an ignition coil out and it's not burning the fuel mixture or a leaky fuel injector or should I just take it in to a shop and let them look it over?

misfire literally means "fire missing", as in the fuel didn't ignite and burn. So yeah you're going to smell unburned fuel.

Could that be an ignition coil ...

yes, all of these above, plus more possibilities. The ignition system is tested pretty easily by pulling the the spark plugs out one at a time and looking for spark. Vacuum leaks are also fairly easy to check for too.

Swap the suspect ignition coils with other cylinders and see if the misfires travel with the coils. Many things can cause misfires other than coils or spark plugs and likewise gas smell could be a leak anywhere in the fuel system. See the troubleshooting section of our FAQ.
