Hello I have a 94 F150 5.0 Automatic with 321,xxx miles. My concern is the A/C compressor stop engaging I jump it with my battery and it worked. Last year it was working during the summer but it kept cycling on and off . Now that is getting hot I’ll like to fix it I noticed a leak on the high pressure line it’s like neon green in color . Do I fix the leak and continue diagnostic?

There is a low-pressure cutout switch that prevents the compressor from engaging if there is not enough refrigerant. You probably lost all or most of the refrigerant. (Refrigerant carries the compressor oil.) Hopefully you only jump-started the compressor for a few seconds.

Sounds like the whole problem is caused by low refrigerant due to the leak. Fix the leak, replace the drier and any sketchy parts, pull vacuum, and refill the proper amount of refrigerant by weight. Do not use any sealers or refrigerant that contains sealers.

https://youtu.be/_IBFLMYZEzI This video Scotty did was my guide to restoring the air conditioner in my 1999 Ranger. My condenser was shot. When you open the system, replace the accumulator/dryer or receiver/dryer, which ever your system has. Add PAG oil, or whatever the lubricant in your system is, directly to the new dryer assembly. When you open the seal on the new device, make sure you put it in your truck quickly, as the material in the assembly absorbs water vapor. It's supposed to absorb stray water vapor in your system. My system works like new.
